Texture

I know, it's only a flower, but I'm quite pleased with the texture that I've managed to capture.  I've enhanced it slightly with a little masking and layer action in Capture One, but the nearest petal looks pretty good to me.

It was in the garden of a couple of chaps who moved to the village at the same time as we did.  And one of the chaps was educated at Ampleforth, in the Vale of Pickering, the sister school to my alma mater, Downside, near Bath.  Both are Benedictine monsteries (although Downside's fraternity moved to Buckfast in March this year) and both have had the spotlight of safeguarding checks in the last few years.
