First Home Game

This was taken just as the weather was turning. The second game of the new cricket season, and the first for me, at home this week. It started in warm sunshine (finally) and finished in the more normal gloom and cold of a late April afternoon. We lost the toss and fielded first. Roam and Forrest bowled ten good overs each, keeping things tight even if neither of them got a wicket. Despite taking just 4 Thornton-le-Moor scalps in total, we only had a below par 178 to chase. Fortunately, Forrest and new captain Tatts were in free-flowing form, both scoring a rapid 70, knocking off most of the runs between them with all of 12 overs to spare and beating the drizzle that started to set in. That's two easy wins from two for the lads so far.
