Edinburgh ho!

We walk to Broughton for lunch. It’s windier than it looked from Kirkurd - and quite chilly up by the trig point.

The Laurelbank serves a mean Cullen Skink and a very decent vegetable broth. I probably didn’t need the sticky toffee pudding on top of my bottle of Broughton pale ale.

There’s drizzle on the way back, but we’re only slightly damp. I do a quick shop in the polytunnel and then rustle up roast leg of capon with creamy leaks, purple sprouting broccoli, and Asian greens. Yum yum.
