Goodbye Kari

Today it was time to say goodbye to my dear father in law, Kari. He said himself, he’s had a good life, all 93 years, and was ready to go, his body let him down at the end, even though the mind was as sharp as it ever was.
Firstly we placed the urn in the communal grave area at the beautiful church in Wohlenschwil, with words from the priest, we put red and white roses in, as we said goodbye. Then a lovely service, with beautiful singing from the church choir he was so long a member of, with his beautiful bass voice. The church was full, there is only one lady left of this age, Pia, who is also bright as a button who I always chat to in English.
After, a long lunch at the alterszentrum in Mellingen.
