In Hereford: The Apprentice....

There is nothing that makes my boys hearts drop into their shoes, like a visit to the hairdresser. There is this amazing barber...well, its actually a barber for girls as well in Hereford. Its called Barber-Ellas. It operates on a sit and wait basis even for girls. Strictly no appointments. You would think that after 4pm that the sitting and waiting would be short lived. Well, that part was. Its was the waiting that Beau and I did, for Sam to get his hair cut that nearly finished Beau and I off!.

After a while, and after Beau has danced in the mirror. Pulled faces at himself. Laid on the floor. Swung in the chair. Watched the TV in the hairdresser. We watched the apprentice tidy up. This should have been in colour. Her hair is bright red. She's a war time model I think, beautifully classic. Beau asked her if he could keep the hair from the floor to sellotape onto his Grandpops head.

She declined with a smile. x
