"Anything Literary"...

...todays' theme for MonoMonday, and thanks to 60plus for hosting. I was driving around in downtown Milwaukee, looking for something "different" from my usual photos, when I saw this door down a shabby looking alley......It could have been some kind of manufacturing or storage plant at one time, but it's pretty empty looking right now. I had to search for an applicable literary title, and came up with--most appropriately--a book called "The Door in the Wall", written by Marguerite de Angeli. It was written for the 10-13 y.o. age group, and was published in 1949. In 1950 it won the Newbery Medal for Excellence in American Children's literature. The motto of the book is in the title: If you walk along a wall long enough you'll find a door to a new life. (Though a new life though this door might be a bit creepy!)   :)
