Literature and Life

Mono Monday: Literary
This river, the Rio Grande, reminds me of the Mississippi River (both wide and muddy).  I loved teaching The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, which takes place along the Mississippi, to my 11th grade honors students.  A wonderful satire by Mark Twain, the book covers themes of friendship, religious hypocrisy, race, nature, family, literary triteness, and more!  We had many thoughtful discussions.

Thank you FrankS for stepping up to host Mono Monday.
