Wheel recycling

Atrociously wet and windy today put paid to any work outside. So, when it eventually brightened up, the question was what's today's blip? Yesterday we ordered a new wheelbarrow wheel through eBay to replace this one that burst some time ago. The barrow is pretty old and a bit knocked about but still serviceable, apart from its wheel. We hate throwing out reusable stuff, which usually results in ridiculous clutter. But in this case, for £10 - a 1/4 of the cost of a new equivalent - it will be put back to good use, provided it fits! Why the doubt? Well, it appeared to be impossible to get an exact replacement - those of the same diameter had axle widths too wide. So, after several phone calls, we ordered a slightly smaller one that, we are assured, will fit. Let's hope so!
