Reflections

I went to the cinema with Lorraine today. We saw a French film called Happening, which was quite a hard watch. It was about a schoolgirl getting pregnant in the 1950s and her difficulties in her wish to terminate the pregnancy in a time when that was not legal. It was rather timely given the news from America today about the upcoming change in abortion law. We did a lot of reflecting afterwards so this view outside the cinema of the reflections in the water seemed quite apt.it was a really good film despite the subject matter. Very well acted and thought provoking.
