Mozart

I spent an enjoyable afternoon at a recording session for a Mozart Piano Concerto. Robert Levin recorded many of the concerti in the 1990s with the Academy of Ancient Music and Christopher Hogwood. Life intervened before they could finish the cycle, but Robert never lost the ambition and now they are finally finishing it. This afternoon they were recording the rondo of the 6th Concerto, an early piece and not well known. But as Robert said, if you want to record the complete cycle, at some point you get to the rondo of the 6th. We were in All Hallows Gospel Oak which is a great barn of a church built in the early 1900s, with excellent acoustics.

Then this evening we had a fun photosoc meeting. Everyone posted 3 images from our photo walk two weeks ago and in small groups we selected our favourites. Everyone got to present one of their images to the whole Society. We always learn so much about one another and about photography in a non-judgemental way.
