Determination

1. This sunflower is completely out of season. No way should it be blooming at this time of year. There are no others anywhere in the yard.
2. It is a volunteer, at the extreme edge of the sidewalk and just exactly the right distance from the door that swings open on the right.
3. No way could we ever weed it out--every day it amazes us with its crazy persistence and bravery in its chosen goofy spot.
