Colour of Dreich!

A gentle misty rain all day today. No complaints as we are parched for wet down here. Although Otago has not been declared a drought region there is very little green on "them far hills" and fields. This image taken sitting in the car waiting for Mother.

Busy day with appointments and "to-ing and fro-ing" for various reasons. Then this evening Mother accompanied myself to the Otago Wildlife Photography Competition awards and opening. I did not make it into the winners circle but being a finalist is amazing in itself. There were 1002 entries so being a finalist is satisfying. We did not hang around after the hoopla was finished but will return for a browse after the imminent school holidays.
