Civic Duty done … tick…

Martin and I headed to the polling station to do our civic duty. I know that politicians have come in for a lot of justified stick, however, I reckon it’s important now more than ever, to show support for local democracy. 

We shall see what our new East Lothian council looks like once the votes are counted … actually, it would be nice if there was no change, as I reckon it’s a pretty good one, although, that’s maybe because I suffered from Edinburgh council for so many years, lol.

No dogs at the polling station alas. That said, we had a lovely chat and showed pictures of cats to the polling station women, as well as a chat with a lovely senior Labour lady outside sitting on a bench.
