Hasta la Vista

We’ve hit the road and are travelling up north to Santander to get a ferry back to Portsmouth. This is my farewell blip to Andalucia on a gorgeous sunny day with irises in full bloom and the fields as lush and green as we’ve seen them for a long time. Leaving Spain these days feels such a wrench and I feel diminished not being an EU citizen any longer.
But summer is arriving with 28C today when we stopped for lunch and according to the BBC weather forecast we’re taking this sunshine back with us to West Sussex next week. Hooray.
