Feeding time ..... again!

This very demanding young coot kept a careful eye on mum/dad not wanting to miss out on any available tit bit.

The transformation from 'ugly duckling to beautiful swan' (thanks to Hans Christian Anderson for the quote) is underway. A tiny bit of white on the beak and the orange hair is gradually disappearing.
