Sgwarnog: In the Field

Broods

These ducklings were independently traversing the Dam, all that was to show for this year’s new arrivals. I just seem to have been seeing ducklings in twos and threes this year - have there been smaller broods than usual or is the attrition rate unusually high?

It was overcast, but warm enough for a few butterflies at the edge of the wood: Orange-tip, Small White, Green-veined White, Speckled Wood & Peacock.

And I bumped into a Brown Hare in the woods. We nodded, one sgwarnog to another.
