M.I.5 Cutbacks

On This Day In History
1963: Sean Connery stars in his first James Bond movie, Dr. No

Quote Of The Day
"My dear girl, there are some things that just aren't done, such as drinking Dom Perignon '53 above the temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit. That's just as bad as listening to The Beatles without earmuffs."
(James Bond, Goldfinger)

Remember when Q used to make clandestine gadgets? Felix Leiter looks on aghast as he sees 007 looking as if he's kitted out to liquidate K.G.B agents rather than catch fish. Oh well, at least the prosthetics department has done a better job of making Bond look like genuinely Japanese than they did during operation You Only Live Twice. Felix, too. Looks like the C.I.A. and M.I.5 have been taking lessons from those Impossible Missions chaps.
