Rhodo tunnel

It takes me less than an hour to walk from home to the National Trust's Sheffield Park Gardens, home to approximately one thousand Rhododendron bushes many of which are over a hundred and twenty years old. I usually time my trips to arrive just as the gardens open or an hour before they close to avoid the crowds. This evening we had it more or less to ourselves for the last half an hour. The Rhododendrons will be approaching their peak over the next two or three weeks.
