Headache

This poor little sausage must have had a hell of a headache, after having flown into a window at OGH.  

It's an Eastern Spinebill - one of our prettiest native birds, and very tiny.  It's the only Australian bird capable of hovering to take nectar.  They are a little like humming birds in that they need a flower with a long throat.  They tend to hover and feed off salvias a whole lot; so our garden at OGH is a haven for them.
