Aldbourne forge

I read about the forge on the Aldbourne website.

The current blacksmith Marc Hart inherited it from his great uncle who was the village blacksmith (and maker of the maltman weather vane from a previous blip). He died suddenly in 1982 and the forge was just locked up and left by Marc's grandparents.

After a career in finance, Marc decided that what he really wanted to do was to be the village blacksmith- just like his great uncle. Thankfully he had spent his childhood helping him, so had a great start with the business.

It is the most amazing place to visit- just like a recreated blacksmiths' shop from a living history museum- only this is real!

He has some fantastic stories to tell!
