Stoodley Pike

This is the view of Stoodley Pike from Cross Lane, Mankinholes.
The houses you can see on the right in the mid-foreground are the development called Rossendale View.  They were built on the site of Stansfield View Hospital were I lived from 1950 until I married Mrs MD in 1964.  My bedroom window looked out directly onto Langfield Common and Stoodley Pike.  It's a view I love and will never forget.
