Words & Texts Idea #6

I'm still working on ideas for my camera group's "Words & Texts" theme. I've  several archive images of inscriptions on sculptures & graffiti, plus the new one I took a few days ago, incorporating Wordle. I've been meaning to try one of those "glasses on a book" shots but hadn't decided on a text - until I saw today's Mono Monday theme. So, here, thanks to Project Gutenberg, is a page from a suitable book (we must have had a copy ourselves, once!), distorted by my varifocals, a shadow cast by a little LED & my macro lens. The scene must have seemed like that to Alice, though she obviously kept her cool throughout..
