Colours of a Lapwing

A Lapwing in full breeding plumage with the sun hitting it is such a magnificent looking bird. This one sounded like it had a sore throat such was the shrieking it was doing as I walked past what must have been a nest site. I said what do you expect when you nest very close to a public path but it took no notice.
