View from the Burleigh Bridge…

The upper reaches of theTaylor River has running water in it after recent rain in the south-east catchment This section has been dry for weeks now. Of course it is only dry on the shingle surface. The water still runs deep beneath the shingle during dry times of the year. It was cold and cloudy at first this morning. Luckily the sky upstream and to the south west was clear over the Wither Hills. Our walk took more time today as with water in the river we can no longer take a shortcut across the shingle, thus avoiding the need to use the bridge.
