Telephone Exchange

The old Telephone Exchange in Barnstaple is a large, tall building with interestingly narrow windows, reminiscent of arrow slits in castles etc.
It has a carved stone set above the main entrance which carries a crown, and the insignia of King George VI along with the date 1937.
Love the roundhouse bit on the end.
Rain this morning so the garden heaved sigh of relief; sun came out this afternoon but the wind came out to play as well so not overly warm.
