Day for ducks

It has rained most of today but I was happy getting indoor chores done. I know we need the rain but I do long for the summer. Our ponds are teeming with ducklings, goslings and cygnets and I caught these two chaps napping in the late afternoon as the rain cleared away and the joggers came out along the towpath.
