Sink, move forward, release...

We are now on day 2 of our weekend doing Tai Chi. Practicing, remembering, seeing what we'd forgotten, learning a few new things.
This is our teacher, Ulf. He's 83 years-old and an excellent advert for Tai Chi. He tells us that as we get older our balance gets worse. We can't avoid that entirely but we can slow the whole process down so we retain as much balance as possible.  About an hour later, as we approach the end of the afternoon he demonstrates the succession of kicks that are part of this form. Stand on left leg and kick with the right foot, step forward onto right foot and kick with left foot, spin 180° and kick with right foot again. I'm happy to be able to do that at 71, though nowhere near as competently as Ulf.
He just happened to move into this patch of sunlight while I was holding the camera. The best picture of my day.
