Not picnic weather!

It rained! When I say "it rained" I mean it poured with rain all morning!

Early afternoon there was a slight improvement ... the sun even popped in & out a little!

We decided to don macs & head out for a walk making sure we went somewhere with solid paths as the ground was saturated!

We did managed a short walk almost in the dry ..... just one light shower but black clouds were gathering again so we decided it was time to head back ..... made it with about 10 minutes to spare before the skies opened again!

Thought this poor bedraggled Thrush summed up the day perfectly :-)

Extra is a Magnolia flower during the brief dry spell :-)
