Gloucester and Sharpness canal
A very slow morning finally gave way to a walk this afternoon along the canal. It’s lovely and peaceful (with the exception of the occasional cyclist).
I’ve taken a number of images I had intended as subjects for my blip but was won over by these beautiful swans.
An image missed (I only have my iPhone with me) was of these cygnets clambering on board what looked like a very reluctant parent.
I will if I can also add an extra or two.
I had a lovely couple of chats with volunteers of the WWT who were doing a water vole survey. Apparently this is a yearly exercise to monitor numbers and on the whole numbers are doing ok. Mink can apparently be a problem, getting into the water voles chambers and killing them.
A zero mink policy is in force in the area.
Good news. V is on her way and, with fingers crossed for traffic, should be here in a couple of hours.
This has been the first time we have really been apart and I’ve missed her. It’s a bugger feeling the ability to do things slipping or even slipped away and not being able to share those moments. Fibro really does make me doubt my future abilities.
