Winchester cathedral

It was a much sunnier day so we went for a bike ride into town by a long route through  the villages known as The Worthies. Here is a view of the  cathedral taken  from  Dean Garnier's garden, a little oasis, in the cathedral close, which  has recently  been renovated and reopened after being closed for a couple of years.

This evening  we watched a TV programme where a Platinum Pudding was selected to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. There had been a competition  with 5000 entries from home bakers, which had been whittled down to a short list of  five. These  entrants had  to bake their puddings in the kitchens of London's Fortnum and Mason for an illustrious panel of judges including Mary Berry and Monica Galetti. The winning  entry was a Lemon Swiss Roll and Amaretti  Trifle, which I am sure will be a winner with other home bakers, and pudding lovers.
