Beyond Ithika

I had the option of going to Trentham on my own this afternoon. My other half had already walked from Sandbach to home (Newcastle-under-Lyme) as part of his training for the C2C in June.

It was a really warm and quiet afternoon. I watched a whole nursery of greylag geese bring their young onto land to feed. There were 4 families in all, with one having 9 goslings (see extra).

The main image is of the latest wire fairy sculpture - "Beyond Ithika". It was commissioned in honour of Organ Donors and their families. It's a lovely peaceful spot for donor families to visit and remember.
