The humming tree

This afternoon we attended  a local seedling /plant swap. People were encouraged to bring along edible plants  and pollinator -friendly ones. I took a dozen small lavenders and we came back with some tomato plants, a chilli and  corncockle seedlings. It was  a very sociable  event and it was really good to catch up with many local friends.
My blip is is of our Ceanothus tree which is now looking its best and whose flowers are  definitely pollinator - friendly. When I stand underneath the tree I  hear a constant  loud hum from all the bees within.
