A fine specimen

Spencer brought two nifty crab traps with him, so we decided that the dock down Xwaaqw'um would be the best place to give them a try here. They had tried them in other places. Kalyn threw one for the first time and Spencer threw his in, then we went for a short walk. When Spencer pulled in the one that Kalyn had thrown, this amazing huge rock crab was in it! Legal size. They threw the traps in again and we waited a few minutes. Another legal size rock crab! Both were returned to the water. Next time they visit, if they catch others, we'll cook them!
Off to enjoy a meal at Auntie Pesto's!
