Bannockburn Sluicings

We walked at the Sluicings today with our friends from Dunedin  - the main photo and first extra of a house in Stewart Town. The terrain is marvellous, but didn’t photograph well in today’s dull light. You can get some sense of it in the second extra.
This area was used in one scene of Jane Campions movie “ The Power of the Dog” when the young man ride his horse and found a dead cow….an important incident in the movie.
It was great walking around it for a couple of hours after first visiting the sculptures at Poison Creek. Had a late lunch in Bannockburn and now home for an evening in front of the fire.
