200 up

Like everything - large on Black is best

Couldn't believe the weather this morning - so good to be back home and experiencing good weather! A real shame about the last week in Scotland, but we will return!

Deb's back has continued to improve through the week, and we thought a gentle walk was in order. A Drive over to Haweswater (well timed - as the road has been closed for resurfacing all week, and only opened yesterday), allowed up to climb up Gatescarth Pass, and up onto Branstree, then onto Selside Pike, which gave us our 200th second Wainwright. Calling it a second round of the Wainwright's is a bit confusing at times, as Deb, looking through her records the other week, realised she had scaled Catbells over 40 times. These two at Haweswater, we had only done once before. Mostly because the walk is notoriously boggy (also because they are a fair distance from home. Underfoot today was reasonably good (still soft in places) but the views - on a sunny day - were lovely, so we will certainly revisit them again sometime.

Branstree: 199/214
Selside Pike: 200/214

Only 14 to go, only 4 weeks left - might be close!
