To Braefoot

An excellent, relaxing day.

First, we walk into the village to see the annual Blyth Bridge tractor ride-out. There’s plenty of huge, shiny, new ones, even more classic old ones, and Mike in his JCB.

Then a walk back along the Tarth water, through Castlecraig graveyard, to pick salad from the tunnel. Combine with delicious quiche for a tasty and healthy lunch. Made slightly less healthy by the half bottle of red left over from last night.

Into Edinburgh, where we meet up with Tony and Richard in Owen and Bonnie’s back garden. They’re away for the week, so we have the run of the house, although the shelves and piles of books definitely have the upper hand.

We meet Ailsa at the Tanjore, where we are treated to another spectacular meal. Richard is particularly impressed by his Keralan fish curry starter, followed by massala dosa.

The X62 drops us at Lady Road. We walk down to Braefoot and the party commences. In bed after four, so tomorrow will probably be somewhat foreshortened.
