All Filla, All Killa!

On the day that Liverpool FC brought the FA cup back to Merseyside, Liverpool ACC (Arena and Conference Centre) let the city down badly by allowing ‘son of a preacher man’, and Trump acolyte, Franklin Graham (son of Billy), to hold an event on its premises, as part of his ‘God Loves You’ tour.

Amongst other things, Graham has called Islam “evil”, attacked laws increasing rights for transgender people, and told his followers that the legalisation of same-sex marriage was orchestrated by Satan. He’s also said that celebrating LGBTQIA+ Pride is “like celebrating lying, adultery, or murder”. Not a nice guy.

In opposition to this event, a coalition of local organisations came together to celebrate Liverpool as an inclusive city for LGBTQIA+ people. Fittingly, ‘Liverpool Loves You’ was held in the garden at Liverpool Parish Church, with the Progress Pride flag flying, and it was the perfect day for it.
