Super Sunday

Our visit to the Lucia S Nash Preserve felt like a vacation.  We sat out on the floating platform taking in the scenery of the lake and surrounding woods while the sun shone and a breeze off the lake (and an umbrella) kept us cool.  For more than an hour we had it to ourselves and just absorbed the sounds of the birds, frogs, and water lapping.

The main blip is moss growing on a log above the swampy water.

The extra includes my first shot of an Eastern Kingbird.  I thought it was a swallow since it is shaped and flies twirling just like a swallow, dipping down to the water and making all kinds of racket.  These Eastern Kingbirds are just passing through as they migrate.
