It rained!

It was dry for Fletch and me to go out for our pre breakfast walk  

Cloudy when we went over to Greenwoods but by lunchtime the rain started.

We decided it was only light rain so wed go  to Newstead Abbey as it's only 10 minutes away from Greenwoods. 
As we arrived, the heavens opened. It was heavy.!! 

As we were there we decided we would at least go and wander round the Japanese gardens. The rain became torrential. Poor Gletch stoically walked on , through the puddles. I kept diving under cover but we were wet. My rain proof trousers were slick with water.. but didnt let in ( thank you Craghoppers) 

We sloshed back to the car which now had what appeared to be a stream flowing under it. 

Out of desperation we decide to drive down to the retail park 10 minutes away from the hotel.  The lure of a Marks and Spencers! We havent been shopping for over 2 years. 
As we parked the car it stopped raining and the sun came out. 
A quick wander round M& S . M bought some chinos and I bought a couple of pastries then back to the hotel. 

Another lovely meal and a nice long walk with Fletch before another early night. Holidays do seem to be tiring! Lop
