Beauty and Art

Arriving in St Ives by train beats a car journey into the town. At this time of year it is not too crowded and in the narrow back streets you can still get a sense of how it was in days past. St Ives once attracted a community of artists whose work was influenced by the natural beauty and light in this part of Cornwall. My blip photo shows Portmeor beach. Overlooking the beach is the Tate St Ives gallery, which is currently showing an amazing exhibition called modern conversations.
