Pileated Family

Mom on the left, Dad on the right with his beak open and Junior up above. The kid still hasn't gotten the hang of 'working' for his own BarkButter. But I noticed that his parents weren't quick to offer him any of their's today! This pair usually has at least two chicks, but I've seen only this little boy of late. Don't know if they had another and something happened to it or maybe this one is just an only child.
