Kirkjafell Foss

This is the shot I had wanted to take eight years ago in snowy February. The bridge to the viewing area was frosted over and icy. I fell over and lost confidence and never got the shot. It's such a famous view as to be a cliché.

Today, astonishingly for Iceland, it has been warm and sunny, although the photo doesn't reflect that. But I got the shot. So warm that we got attacked by midges.

Currently, we are on a ferry to the Western Fjords which will dock shortly.
