Goodbye but come back soon.

A dramatic phone call just before 2am from my son in law to say grandchild No7 had arrived 2 weeks early. It had been a traumatic birth. The plan had been to have the baby at home but things did not progress according to plan. A last minute decision to call an ambulance to take my daughter to the hospital for an emergency c section. On the way there she gave birth naturally while the ambulance pulled in to the side of the road. My son in law was traumatised but baby Jasper is healthy and all is now ok.
We decided to cut short our Cornwall trip to travel back to see the new arrival. The cows in the field seemed to be saying goodbye but come back soon.
So grateful today for Jaspers safe arrival, for a safe journey back from Cornwall and for the medical team in the ambulance who ensured a safe birth.
