The Lozarithm Lens

Bowerhill (Tuesday 17th May 2022)

This was a particularly busy day for me and I accomplished quite a few tasks that involved travelling to the Bowerhill Industrial Estate to buy shingle for the Woodland Garden, and to Melksham for general shopping and petrol. I managed to squeeze in a pair of short walks. One was here at the Kennet and Avon below Bowerhill Lane where I saw a couple of narrowboats navigating the swingbridge and found a pair of swans. It had been awhile since I'd been near this canal, particularly this stretch. The yellow flags are beginning to appear.

My other walk was up to the Boat House on the River Avon in Melksham, where I saw another swan and a row of sunbathing mallards. At times I was too warm, having dressed for a rather cooler day before stepping outside, and needed a lot to drink when I got home.
