House of the Binns

Belonging to the Dalyell family for over 400 years and managed by the National Trust for Scotland since 1944, the House of the Binns is set in gorgeous parkland with views of Blackness Castle and the River Forth.

You can walk around the parkland from the house, through woodland and up Binns Hill to see the folly tower. You can then choose to continue East to explore more of the estate or take a shorter loop back to the house.

I only walked the short Woodland Walk today however did walk back down the West Driveway to see the Old Stable block and Walled Garden.
On both walks, it was lovely to see all the spring lambs, hear and see the peacocks near the main house, and watch some hares jumping across the fields in the distance.
