After featuring Mr Pheasant yesterday, here is one of his surviving three wives. I always think that if the cock weren't so showy, we would think the hens were gorgeous, but they pale in comparison with him.

We had a tremendous thunderstorm last night but it hasn't done any damage and the plants are thriving with the plentiful rain and warm sunshine. The cotoneasters were full of bees today.
