Mixed Flower Basket

I love the pink Million Bell flowers in this mixed basket of annuals, and the Hummingbird is a bonus.

The drywall guys came back to add a second coat of mud; they arrived before 8 AM, so they woke us up, but we were happy to see the project moving toward completion. We hope to have it done in two weeks or less.

We bought a raised planter and a few plants for our DIL's birthday; she was delighted. This was the first time I saw Ron with the newest Chemo treatment; it is like a helmet of electrodes that zaps periodically. It is an oscillating magnetic field (OMF)-generating helmet; it has a backpack with a power unit. He wears a cap over the molded helmet, and it doesn't look bad; the best news is that it hasn't caused too much uncomfortableness. Ron says sometimes it feels hot, but he can turn it off. This treatment may increase Ron's life span by 30%, but with an 18-24 month life expectancy, that is only a possible seven additional months. Ron struggled with the decision to do this treatment; he has to wear the helmet 20 hours a day, and it makes him more tired.. Ron was trying to explain how he felt. He said, "It is a different kind of tired, it isn't like a tireness from working hard, it is more like a surprising sudden exhaustion, I have to stop and lay down." Ron's attitude is still upbeat and grateful. It is a joy to visit with him.
