Celebrating Maggie

Over a year ago one of my dearest friends Maggie died after years of illness. Friends could only watch her funeral service on Zoom. So this afternoon many of us, family and friends came together in a marquee in Nottingham to celebrate and remember Maggie. Her husband, daughter, 4 sons with many grandchildren and in-laws, her brother and sister were joined by her friends, sharing stories and memories of this lovely, crazy woman. My blip is 3 photos of Maggie across the years. The middle one was taken in San Francisco in the Summer of Love! A real 60s shot!

The extra is a mix of friends and family. From the left: our artist school friend who I started school with when I was 5! She and Maggie were very good friends. Then Maggie's older sister who was also at school with us. Next is me - her friend but only when we got into 6th form because we were in different classes and then we were friends forever! Finally her lovely daughter who organised the day.
