Tired bee - loaded with pollen

Running this morning, came across a bee on the pavement.  I thought it was dead, but a poke with dry grass and it moved.  I didn't want to leave it in the middle of the pavement, while I went home for sugar , but thought if I carried it in my hand it might sting me (then die?) so I took off my trainers and put it inside and hobbled home, before offering it syrup and sugared water, which it did take, but it was still there a couple of hours later.  Moved it off the path, and into long grass.  Hope it made it!
