Clark County Wetlands

Not what you'd expect to see in the middle of the desert.

On the east side of Las Vegas is a man-made Riparian preserve to which most natives of the metropolitan area seem oblivious.  It is one of my favorite places to visit. It is a 210-acre nature preserve with three distinct habitats and miles of paved and unpaved trails. We arrived very late in the morning so the wildlife was pretty quiet. 

My husband had a nice run and I had a delightful walk.
